First and foremost, I decided to build this site simply because I found nothing that gave me the information that I wanted to know about the 1979 to 1985 General Motors E-Bodied cars. Yes, there are sites that give you some info about each of our cars but you either have to pay to see it, or you weed through the many sites that have the same information, hoping to find that new little tidbit or two that will help you to either learn more about your car or give you hope that you find what your looking for.
After searching and searching for free information sites that dealt specifically with our cars and not finding anything except scattered information, I finally got tired and started to see what I could do about compiling and putting together something myself, just for our cars.... And it would be free and in the Public Domain for ANYONE to use.
I hope to include as much information for all of the 1979 to 1985 Eldorados, Rivieras, Toronados, and the 1980 to ' 85 Seville so that this site may eventually be the "where-to-find-it-site" for all of our information. It won't happen overnight though and I'm relying on your help to make this site wonderful for the future. Since our cars are at least 25 years old, there won't be any new recalls, or other notices from the manufacturer... but it will at least be an archival repository of information about our cars, and hopefully a source of information for restoration and repair.
You might be asking "Why did you include the K-Body 1980 -'85 Seville on this site"?
Well, it does share our frame, drivetrain, suspension, steering, brakes, some engines, and many interior parts. Therefore I decided to include it not only for the benefit of parts sharing for us, but for the benefit of Seville owners too, even though they have their own websites.
